The desertification of the land has as a consequence, the incalculable loss in agricultural and livestock income, the rapid deterioration of the environment and the quality of life.
This Day aims to raise awareness about Desertification, one of the most challenging environment issues we are facing and how it is crucial for everyone to realise the links between consumption and land.
World Desertification and Drought Day campaign for this year is running under the slogan of “Food. Feed. Fiber” as a way to inform and inspire individuals on how to reduce their personal impact. Korea Forest Service is hosting the event and takes place today online with a full-day program featuring a variety of exciting international events.
