Vegan / Vegetarian friendly is a private certification scheme developed by LiberoAssurance for vegetarian and vegan food producers.
Vegetarian certification
This certification scheme aims to provide confidence to the end consumer that:
- the products do not contain meat and animal tissue,
- its ingredients have not been tested on animals by or on behalf of the company,
- the processing aids used in the manufacturing process are vegetarian, and
- contains no GMO’s from animal genes.
Vegan Certification
Vegan products:
- do not use animal-based food, ingredients, adjuvants or manufacturing auxiliaries
- the processing aids used in the manufacturing process are vegan, meaning no use of animal origin.
The Vegan certification scheme aims to provide to the end consumer that the product does not contain products coming from animals, such as dairy, eggs and honey.
