June 9th 2021 marks World Accreditation Day. WOAD is an annual celebration, a global initiative established by ILAC and IAF to raise awareness for the value of accreditation.
Accreditation displays a business’s compliance to a management standard that is providing conformation and quality assurance to customers and stakeholders. Being accredited increases transparency, safety, and value on the service or the product a business is offering to the market. This capability is assessed by accreditation bodies on the basis of international standards and requirements. World Accreditation Day is granting the opportunity to explore how accreditation can make a safer world.
