World Standards Day is held globally every year on October 14th and marks the first meeting of 25 countries in 1956 who decided to establish an international organisation for facilitating standardisation. This day the members of the Word Standards Cooperation (WSC), the International Electro technical Commission (IEC), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Telecommunication Union (ITU) honor thousands of experts who develop International Standards and stress the importance of standardization in creating a world that is better, fairer and more sustainable.
